Thomas Peters scores four as St. Nicholas progress in Munster

St Nicholas 6 – 0 Moyglass United

St Nicholas 6 – 0 Moyglass United

Blowing hot and cold all year, the home side reserved their best display of the season for the day with the most inclement weather so far.

Six minutes in they opened the scoring when Aiden Riordan found the Moyglass net and on 18 minutes, Thomas Peters doubled the lead.

The real killer goal came two minutes later as Eoin O’Riordan made it three, and the tie was more or less made certain for the home team when Peters crashed home his second on the half hour.

Four up at the break, Nicholas never looked like letting the visitors back into this tie, and Peters assured himself of the match ball when not one but two more goals were driven home by him in the second half to keep his team in the hat for the next round of the Munster Junior Cup
