Loughmore/Castleiney 0-22 Mullinahone 2-11
South champions Mullinahone bowed out of the County Senior Hurling Championship when they were beaten by Loughmore/Castleiney in the quarter-final at Semple Stadium on Saturday evening.
Mullinahone were ahead by 4 points on four occasions in the first half and they led at half-time by 2-7 to 0-11, thanks to Eoin Kelly, who scored 2-5 from frees.
However Loughmore took control of the game early in the second half and once Noel McGrath gave them the lead in the 36th minute they never looked back.
Mullinahone stayed in contention, thanks mainly to the efforts of county players Eoin Kelly and Paul Curran, but Loughmore were well worth their 5-points victory.
