Centenary Cup for John Shanahan

A great competition which commenced in the Centenary year of the Club and is generously sponsored by the Centenary Year Captains, Joe Flynn and Ollie Connellan. It was partly spoiled by Sunday’s weather but nonetheless over 100 gents and ladies took part in this ‘now’ annual competition for all members of the Club and when the cards were totted up, John Shanahan, back after a long lay-off through injury did the business with a good round of 39 points off of a 9 handicap. He was closely followed home on 38 points by 
Thomas O’Neill.

Easter Hamper: The Superquinn Supermarket Easter Hampers now re-rescheduled to Sat / Sun, April 27th / 28th. This will be run in conjunction with the qualifying round of the Donoughmore Cup. Details on the Notice Board.

Vice Captain’s (Mr Shay Bannon) Prize will be played on May 4th with the top 15 players qualifying for a nine hole play-off on Saturday evening commencing at 6.15 p.m.

The 23rd draw took place last Saturday 20th April in the Clubhouse.

The numbers drawn were: 03,05,07,12.

There was no jackpot winner. There were 4 match 3 winners. Next week’s Jackpot - €2,600.

Fashion Show

On Thursday, May 2nd Clonmel Golf Club will host a spectacular Fashion Show with the latest trends form the Clonmel Houses of Clintons, Ryan Design & Pavoni. All these fashion houses will be showing their newest collection of seasonal wear and whether your occasion is a wedding, a social event or just ‘stepping out in style’ you are certain to be very pleased, bag a bargain and have a wonderful evening with us.

Gentlemen, you are not forgotten. You too can see the latest in smart casual wear, be it for golf, holidays or just hanging out!

This promises to be a great night and there will be something for “everyone in the audience”.
