Cahir had a good win over Clonmel Og in Ballylooby on Friday night last.

Played in bitterly cold conditions, Clonmel got off to a good start with a goal in the first few minutes. Gradually Cahir levelled the scores. Cahir put in a very good second half to finish with a score of 10 points to 1 - 4.

Team: Aaron Wall, Liam Howard, Ger Hally, Eoin Donaghy, James McGrath (0-2), Robbie Costigan, Liam Meehan, Diarmuid Tarrant, Eddie Meehan (0-1), Padraig Whelan (0-2), Eddie Kendrick (0-1), Liam Casey (0-1), Dean Lonergan, Benny Hickey (0-3), Paddy O’Flaherty. Subs: Mikey O’Connor, Aidan Casey, Eoghann Quinlan.

Aidan Casey made a welcome return from injury, but Sean O’Connor is still on the injury list. Training for all adults continues this week.

Best of luck to Liam Casey, Niall Mckenna, Mikey O’Connor and Paddy O’Flaherty (selector) and the Tipperary Minor Football team in the Munster Semi-Final in Semple Stadium on Wednesday night at 7.30pm.

Preparations for the annual field day on Sunday, June 2, are going full steam ahead. The pigs are in training for their races, and novelty events are being prepared for the children. You can be a pig owner, breeder or trainer for just €10. Let’s hope for a fine day and lots of fun.
