Cashel King Cormacs 0-8

Golden-Kilfeacle had an easy win over Cashel King Cormacs in a minor A hurling championship, played at Leahy Park on Sunday evening.

The opening half gave promise of a closer encounter as Golden-Kilfeacle led by only 0-8 to 0-4 at the interval, and Cashel matched them reasonably well.

However any such hopes were quickly dispelled after the resumption as Golden notched up 2-3 within nine minutes, the goals coming from Ger Barlow and Ciaran Burke. A third goal near the end left the final score at 3-17 to 0-8.

Golden had some outstanding performances from Robbie Wade, Ethan Rogers, James Casey and Thomas Wade, while Padraig Leamy, Brian Fitzpatrick, Raymie O’Leary and Murty Browne were best for Cashel.

Golden-Kilfeacle: Niall Fogarty, Robbie Wade, Keith Landy, Cian O’Connell, Eoin Ryan, Shane O’Connell (0-5), Ethan Rogers (0-1), James Casey (1-7), David Wade (0-1), Jonathan Wade, Ger Barlow (1-1), Thomas Wade, Nathan Magee, Seanie O’Halloran (0-2), Ciaran Burke (1-0).
