Eire Og Annacarty/Galtee Rovers 3-13, Kickhams 1-11.

The Eire Og/Galtee combo got back to winning ways after they overcame Kickhams in a minor A hurling championship at Annacarty on Sunday evening.

The exchanges were close in the opening stages until Eoin Brennan and Tom Fox plundered goals in the 22nd and 28th minutes to lead by 2-8 to 0-4 at the interval. Kickhams’ cause not helped by the loss of their centre-forward through injury which resulted in a lengthy stoppage.

Evan Heffernan’s 38th minute goal seemed to put the combo out of reach only for the Dundrum side to gradually claw their way back, scoring 1-4 to 0-1. A brace of Tom Fox points sealed the win.
