Phobe Murphy wins Irish 200m title

At the All Ireland Juvenile Track and Field Championships last weekend, athlete of the moment, Phoebe Murphy, produced a brilliant performance coming off the final bend in full flow and she maintained that strong pace to win the Girls under 16 200m All Ireland title in 25.28 secs, a fantastic achievement. This was before she embarked on a glorious campaign in the EYOF she wont he Girls under 16 100m title.

On Saturday in the Inter County relays we had two very good performances from Orla Winston and Saoirse McGeever. In the Girls under 15 4 x 100m event Orla played a major role in helping the County team to win the Silver Medal in 54.79 secs. Then in the Girls under 17 4 x 100m event Saoirse ran a brilliant leg to help the team win the Silver medals in 52.07 secs.
