Carrick Swan will be going for their 23rd South senior hurling title on Saturday evening while their opponents Killenaule are chasing their 18th title.
Killenaule will be seeking their first title since 2009 while Carrick Swan’s last title was secured in 2010. Mullinahone won the South title in 2011 and 2012. That memorable 2010 final was the last time that Carrick Swan and Killenaule met in a divisional final. The match was played in Fethard with Swan taking the title after a 1-16 to 2-11 victory. Swan last appeared in a final in 2012 when they were beaten by Mullinahone while Killenaule’s last appearance in the final was in that 2010 decider. The throw in for the glamour clash on Saturday night at the GAA grounds on the Western Road, Clonmel is at 7.30 and the referee is Keith Delahunty.
