Tipperary goalkeeper Brendan Cummins has admitted that he hasn’t given any thoughts to his retirement from the game.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland Hurling Championship semi-final the 37 year-old says “I don’t know because I don’t think about it. If you think about when you’re finishing you take your eye off the now.

My past is gone, my future is gone so I’ve nothing only this minute in time, so that’s the way I look at it. The Kilkenny game is everything now”.

The Ballybacon/Gtrange player, who made his championship debut 17 years ago, will make his 71st championship appearance in Sunday’s game, as he extends his record of championship appearances.

The full interview with Brendan Cummins will appear in this week’s Nationalist.
