Intermediates can still qualify

A disappointing display by the intermediate team on Saturday night saw them go down byseven points to Moyle Rovers at Ned Hall Park on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-4. The team must now regroup following two defeats but qualification is still very much in their own hands. 

U 14 Girls

The under 14 girls had two matches last week against Boherlahan Dualla and Arravale Rovers respectively. In the first game Boherlahan were victorious on a score line of 5-5 to 2-2.

The lineout was Katie Ryan, Fionnula Sheehan, Amy Ryan, Megan Cairns, Keely O’Reilly, Caitlynn Whyte, Róisín Flynn, Jade Kiely, Anna Carey, Cailín Napier, Ciara Whyte, Lauren Kearney, Emma Kirby-Boyle, Ciara Corbett, Tegan Kiely. Subs: Amy O’Donnell for F. Sheehan, Anna Tobin for Emma Kirby-Boyle, Clodagh Duffy for Ciara Corbett.

In the second game against Commercials came out on top on a scoreline of 6-3 to 4-2.

U 12 Girls

The under 12 Girls started their campaign on Wednesday night last with a win against a gallant Ardfinnan team.The starting line out was Katie Ryan, Rachel Maher, Roma Dennehy, Aoife Walsh, Sarah ní Cheallaigh, Anna Tobin, Ella Traas, Tegan Kiely, Ciara Corbett, Lauren Slattery, Cailín Napier, Aoife Hickey, Aoife McNamara, Ellen Fahey and Anna Morris. Subs: Ada Johnston, Áine Crean, Eva Judge, Olivia O’Brien, Caitlin Core, Hannah McCabe.

U 12 A Boys

The under 12 A team travelled to Ballyneale on Saturday morning to play a challenge match against Grangemockler. Team line out was Leigh Carroll, Dylan Guiry, Conor Gregory Walsh, Tadgh Condon, Cathal Berrigan, Christy Grogan, Gavin Maguire, Josh Kenedy, Sean O Connor, Tristan Grant, Mark Wallace. Due to communion commitments, the team was depleted and they gave a great account of themselves going down on a scoreline of 3-12 to 5-7

U 12 C Boys

The under 12 C team played Grangemockler on Thursday night in the Poppy Field and gave a great display winning on a scoreline of 2-07 to 2-04. U 8 Boys

The under 8 boys had a challenge match on Friday night last against The Nire. A very entertaining and high scoring game with the all the following getting game time Sam O’Sullivan, TJ Corbett Flynn, Jack Beckett, Adam Cooney, Michael Connellan,Niall Deely, Joe Higgins, John Buckley, Cian LeBlanc, Paul Maher, Milo McNamara, Cillian McNamara, Dara O’Connor, Jamie Ryan, Tadgh Sheehan, Billy Tierney, Matthew O’Ceallaigh, Cian McGrath and Joey Brown

Guess the Score

The ladies club are still selling “Guess the Score” cards for the hurling championship semi-final match between Tipperary and Limerick which is on the 9th June, 2013. A line costs €2 euro and the proceeds are to pay for the registration of each girl. All support will be appreciated.

Tipp Minors

Tipperary minor footballers 
advanced to the Munster Final on Wednesday evening last.  The team managed by Charlie McGeever showed huge character in overcoming a fancied Cork side.  Kevin Fahey was superb throughout at wing back and Commercials also have Michael Connolly and Paudie White in the panel.
