TSDL Fourth DivisionShield Round -Up
Bansha Celtic B 2- 3 Dualla
Dualla started the better and were ahead in just five minutes from a free header by Derek Hayes. Dualla went two clear in the 30th minute when a shot from 18 yards out by Stevie Coppinger went in low by the left hand post. Bansha B playing their first competitive game got back into the tie in the 50th minute when a long range shot by Brendan McGrath from 25 yards out hit the target. Dualla very much against the run of play went 1-3 up when a simple ball over the top was not dealt with and Bart Karazac was on hand to score. Bansha kept going and a headed goal from James Scanlon in the 80th minute gave them hope, but nothing else.
Tipperary Town B 2 – 3 Peake Villa
Peake took the lead in the first minute when Tom Rykala scored from close in catching the home side napping. They equalised two minutes later when Anthony Hogan curled a shot inside the near post after a good pass from Pa Hickey. However, Tom Grodzki reopened the lead for Villa on 25 minutes sending them in 2-1 up at the break. Tipp’s Pa Hickey was taken down in the penalty area on the hour mark and got up to fire his team level, but the final word on this game went to the visitors when Sam Martin wrong footed the Town keeper to hit the winner with fifteen minutes left.
Slieveardagh 2-3 Suirside
The away side took the spoils here in what was a robust, even at times strong tempered game, through goals from Darren Sweeney, Andy Hickey and Niall Carey. Eoin Burke and Pakie Proutt replied for Slieveardagh but they could not get an equaliser. Tempers boiled over late in the game and two players were sent to the line in the final five minutes.
