TSDL Third Division Shiled Round-Up
Clerihan 5 – 4 Clonmel Celtic B
Four times the visitors led, and four times they were pegged back, before Clerihan eventually won. Shane Ahern and Andrew Laste scored for Celtic in the first period, sandwiching a goal from Alan Campbell. In the second, after Clerihan equalised through Shane Clancy, Celtic’s Paul Fitzgerald and Craig Condon, direct from a corner no less, traded goals before Rian Clancy and a second from Campbell. Campbell completed his hat trick for the win.
Donohill 4 – 4 St Kieran’s (Kierans win 7-6 on pens)
St Kierans eventually won a mighty tie after a sudden death penalty shoot out. Matt Darcy opened the scoring but the home side equalised on the half hour from Dinny Crosse. Darcy again struck before half time. This spurred the home side on and goals from Dinny Crosse again and Joe Shanahan looked to have won the tie before an equaliser forced extra-time. Shane O’Neill then put Kieran’s back in front, but this time it was Joe Shanahan’s turn to restore parity. St. Kieran’s prevailed in the shoot-out.
Burncourt 3 – 1 Ballyneale
Marty O’Reilly and Christopher English shared goals early on. Michael Hickey put Burncourt in front and they finished the game off when Pa Ryan scored the third.
Cashel Town 2 – 2 Vee Rovers (Vee win 5-4 on pens)
Cashel took the lead through Chilly Fitzell early on, but Vee replied on the stroke of half time from the spot when Martin Grant converted. Another goal from Fitzell was cancelled out by a Sean Flynn free kick. With no further goals penalties were the only way the teams could be separated before the visitors came out on top 5-4
