In the 27th minute Emly/Treacys got a huge lift when Paul Ryan finished off an attack with a well-taken goal and almost immediately Darragh Kennedy scored a second to wipe out Lattin-Cullen Gaels lead and send the sides into halftime on level terms, 2-6 to 0-12.

Mark Russell put Lattin-Cullen Gaels ahead with a free soon after the resumption but they didn’t score again until the 24th minute when Russell goaled a twenty metre free followed by a point from Shane Neville.
