Rosegreen Rangers 4 – 5 Galbally United

Nijinsky Park was the venue this week as Rosegreen Rangers went down for the second week in a row by the single goal in a nine goal thriller. Galbally opened the scoring after only five minutes through Kieran Callaghan, but within five more Davy Butler had the home side level. This was the start of a period of home domination and they added two more goals in the 18th and 25thh minutes through Mark Shortt and Vinnie Downey. Like their previous fixture, this looked like being a winning lead, but in the 33rd minute it was reduced by Quinn Perry and five minutes before the break Galbally’s Timmy Murphy had the teams level at 3-3. Ten minutes into the second half, Robbie Healy put Galbally in front, but 20 minutes from time Eoin Byrnes popped up to score what looked like the goal that would give the home team a deserved draw. Unfortunately Quinn Perry was in top form as always, and rattled the winner for the visitors five minutes from time.

Two Mile Borris 1 – 1 Tipperary Town

Both teams needed all three points from this game for differing reasons and so both will probably be unhappy with the outcome. After a dull first half with little in the way of entertainment for the crowd, the visitors finally opened the scoring through a well finished effort by Cathal Ryan. It wasn’t enough though, and the home side took a share of the spoils when Jack Cleary got an equaliser with 20 minutes left. Borris had the last real chance of the game when Anthony Healy saw an effort bounce back off the cross bar but all in all a share of the spoils was probably the fairest result.
