With the course drying out by the minute and in great shape we had a fine turnout for the weekend’s Coman Cup. Inspired by the exploits of his fellow countyman, Shane Lowry, in the Accenture World Matchplay, Conor Carroll led the eight qualifiers with a fantastic 45 pts.
Scoring was hot with only one player on 41 pts making the cut.
Conor Carroll v Liam Hynes; Larry Creamer v Jerry Morrissey; William Hayes v Mike Maher; Paddy Moloney v Donal Elliot.
Not to be outdone Conor’s colleague and golfing mentor, Joe Browne, won the Tuesday singles with 36 pts from Ger Ryan on 35.
Handicap Secretary, John Paul Meehan won the weekly sweep with 36 pts.

Club President, Michael O’Donoghue, and his Social Committee are organising a lovely evening of music, song and general craic on Saturday, March 16. Tickets will be available from any member of the Committee and from the office.
