The eagerly awaited field day will take place on June bank holiday Sunday.
Cahir GAA are preparing for their annual field day in four weeks time. This was a huge success last year, when the Club provided first class entertainment by training and racing free-range pigs. The pigs are well looked after and presently in training. They are very intelligent animals and are naturally competitive. This is just one of the events taking place that day and a great day is expected for all the family. Any businesses or individuals wishing to help out on the day please let any committee member know. Lots of help is needed on the day.
Last week was a quiet week on the playing fields but there were plenty of training sessions to keep everybody busy. Our next outing is in the second round of the senior football championship against Clonmel Og in Ballylooby at 7.30pm this Friday night.
The new Tipperary County draw is starting in two weeks time. Receipts and draw application forms have been sent out to all members, and we hope that as many people as possible will renew their membership or join for the first time. This is the major fundraiser for the Club and the County Teams, so it is our way of supporting Tipperary teams as well as the Cahir Club.
Now that the weather has settled a little, it is time to start some voluntary work in the GAA field. It is hoped to start this week. Anybody who can help out is more than welcome to come along and give a hand.
