Tipp captained by Clonmel Commercials’ Ross Peters (right) had their opening game against Cork, a game that produced some lovely passages of play. Tipperary was on target in the point scoring department and qualified for the semi-final on a finishing score of 1-13 to 1-7.

In the semi-final against North Kerry they conceded 13 points while scoring 3-7 to get over the line with a three point margin 3-7 to 0-13

In the final Tipp were up against Kerry South and despite shaking the Kerry net for the game’s only goal they lost out on getting the silverware by two points.

Final score South Kerry 0-10 Tipperary 1-5.

As the Bórd has encountered numerous obstacles in bringing this championship to its conclusion there will be no deviation from the August 10th date.
