Wilderness Rovers 4 – 1 Two Mile Borris

Wilderness Rovers leapfrogged their counterparts from Two Mile Borris on Sunday afternoon with a comprehensive win which really sets this league up for a dogfight for promotion spots come the end of the season.

Borris had the better start as Martin Darmody fired home a shot from ten yards out after only five minutes, but three minutes later, Ashley Keane had the home side on terms when he hit a 25 yard screamer to the top corner of the visitors net.

After this, the Clonmel side took control of the game, and finally took the lead on 18 minutes when Niall Kelly powered in a header from a corner kick.

It was 3-1 three minutes later when Youceff Brahimi put Ger Kennedy clear and he lobbed the advancing Borris keeper to tighten the stranglehold the home team had on the game.

The final nail in the Borris coffin came just three minutes into the second period when Kennedy scored again as his cross come shot deceived the visiting keeper leaving the home side proudly sitting at the top of the table at weekend.

Bansha Celtic B 2 - 1 Dualla

Bansha Celtic’s second string turned over title chasing Dualla at home on Sunday morning with a well-deserved victory in front of a small but vocal crowd.

It was Dualla who scored first from a Bart Kaczorek free kick in the 40th minute to give the leaders the lead at the break.

Bansha were better in the second half and got a deserved equaliser on the hour when Shaun Barron was on hand to take advantage of a rebound before firing home.

It took a superb goal from Shane Ferris to seal the Bansha Celtic win when he brilliantly lobbed the ball over the Dualla keeper.
