Tipperary 2-13 Dublin 1-16

Tipperary and Dublin must do it all again in the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship Final after Sunday’s Final at Croke Park ended in a draw.

It was a below par performance by Tipp, who were behind by 1-8 to 1-5 at half-time. Their goal came from a penalty by John McGrath, who scored 1-11 of his team’s total, and all from placed balls.

Tipp improved in the second half and a well-taken goal by Mark McCarthy 4 minutes into the second half put them ahead by 2 points.

However Dublin battled back and snatched a deserved equaliser through a Paul Winters free in additional time.

The replay will be played at the same venue on Sunday, September 30 as the curtain-raiser to the Senior Final Replay between Kilkenny and Galway, which also finished all square.
