The AGM of the Munster Council took place in the Woodlands Hotel, Adare, Co. Limerick on Sunday, November 28. Delegates from all six counties were present. Comprehensive reports were given by all officers.
The HSE Community Games programme for 2011 was discussed. There were two new team events regarding skittles passed at the 2009 National AGM which are included on the programme this year. They are Skittles U12 which may be all boys, all girls or mixed and Skittles U16 which may be all boys, all girls or mixed. This is the existing format for U14 Skittles, so Ss Peter and Paul's area, Clonmel who seem to specalise in this event will have a busy time in 2011.
County Limerick will host the first Munster finals in University of Limerick on Saturday, March 26, 2011 for the following teams: Badminton, Chess, Choir, Draughts, Handball, Indoor Soccer, Table Tennis.
All teams events on the programme must be entered at County level on or before January 15 in order to be included in the county draw regardless of which provincial finals they are involved in. Entries cost €6 per team and must be sent to Kathleen England, Mount Butler, Roscrea.
The existing officers were re-elected: Chairman: Anthony Fitzsimons, Limerick; Secretary: Margaret Culloty, Kerry; Treasurer: Michael O'Brien Limerick; Jimmy Turner, Kerry retired as RTD Officer and this position remains to be filled.
Joe Keane, Tipperary retained his position of Munster delegate to National Appeals Committee along with Tony Burke from Clare. Michael England, is the Tipperary delegate to the Munster Council.
The second Munster Finals will take place in U.L. on Saturday, July 9, 2011. Teams here include: Basketball, Camogie, Futsal, Gaelic Football, Hardcourt Tennis, Hockey, Hurling, Olympic Handball, Pitch and Putt, Rounders, Rugby mini and tag, Soccer outdoor, Skittles, Variety and Volleyball.
The following new Individual events will be introduced at County level this coming year - U10 Handwriting boys and girls, U16 Discus boys and girls, U16 Javelin girls and boys, U16 Swimming squad girls and boys. U14 Butterfly girls and boys, U16 Breaststroke girls and boys, these events were also passed at 2009 AGM.

The Art competition organised by all three parishes in Clonmel last Thursday night, December 2 was postponed and will now take place in Clonmel Library on this Thursday night, December 9.
