Arravale Ladies

Arravale Ladies

U12’s played a challenge match against Moyle Rovers last Thursday in Sean Treacy Park. It was a great game with both teams putting in an immense performance. Moyle Rovers proved to be the stronger team on the night but our ladies showed that they would be a force to be reckoned with when they start their championship league.

U16’s played Thurles Sarsfields’ in the latest round of the championship in Seam Treacy Park on Sunday. It was a tale of two halves with strong winds playing a major factor in the game. Arravale Rovers played this advantage in the first half racking up scores that proved to be vital going into the second half. Thurles had the wind in their backs for the second half and brought the score line close to anyone’s game. However, Rovers refused to give up and battled against the wind to score the goals and points that put them 2 points ahead as the final whistle blew.  It was a riveting performance from both teams and one well worth watching from the sidelines. Well done, ladies.

Training for all ages continues in Sean Treacy Park every Friday night from 6.30pm.  U14’s and U16’s will also train on Wednesdays at 7 to 8pm. New members always welcome.

Arravale Juveniles

The Arravale Rovers U12 A team took on Cashel on Monday, April 1 and came out on top in a score line of Arravale Rovers 3-7 Cashel 2-6. The team battled well and found an extra gear when the pressure was on.

The Arravale Rovers U12 D team played Cashel on Monday night April 1.The team played very well and won handsomely in the end. Players who played well were Mark Butler and Eoghan Lonergan .It was a very young Cashel team but Arravale still had to perform and get the victory.

On Thursday, April 4 the boys played Kickhams but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of a tough game. The final score was Kickhams 1-9 Arravale Rovers 1-0. The team did not perform and were beaten by the better team. Kickhams were faster to the ball and played clever football throughout. Players who played well were Eamon Ryan and Adam O Donnell. The team play Clonoulty/Rossmore on Thursday, April 11 in Sean Tracey Park. Our U12 A team also played Kickhams on Thursday and they too lost on a score line of Arravale Rovers 2.2 Kickhams 5.7. The players did not play to their potential on the day and just got over run on the day.

Our U10 hurlers and footballers went to Thurles for a Blitz in Dr Morris Park. We had 17 players who went, and so, we made two teams each playing three highly competitive matches. The boys and coaches had a fantastic day out in the sun in Thurles.

The U14 Feile Peile West Final will be on Wednesday, April 10 in Golden with Arravale taking on Cashel. All support would be greatly appreciated as the boys have a great chance of winning some silverware.
