Three changes on Tipp Intermediate hurling team

The Tipperary hurling team to play Kilkenny in Saturday’s All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Final at Nowlan Park shows three changes from the side that defeated Cork in the Munster Final.

Senior hurling panelist, John O’Keeffe; senior football panellist, Brian Fox; and under 21 hurling captain, Niall O’Meara, start in place of Joey McLoughney, Sean McCormack (who’s injured) and Paudie Greene.

The match starts at 6pm and the referee is Offaly’s Tony Carroll.

Tipp manager Mick Ryan has appealed to Tipperary supporters to travel in force to Nowlan Park to support the team.

The team is Darragh Egan (Kildangan), Sean O’Brien (Newport), Micheál Butler (Drom and Inch), Tom Treacy (Cappawhite), John O’Keeffe (Clonoulty Rossmore), David Young (Toomevara, captain), Padraig Heffernan (Clonoulty Rossmore), Brian Fox (Eire Og Annacarty Donohill), Willie Ryan (Clonakenny), Orrie Quirke (Silvermines), Thomas Butler (Clonoulty Rossmore), Niall O’Meara (Kilruane MacDonaghs), Ruairi Gleeson (Kildangan), Danny O’Hanlon (Carrick Swan) and Timmy Hammersley (Clonoulty Rossmore).
