Cashel’s newly formed ladies team played their first match on Saturday and what better way to mark the occasion by getting a win.

Cashel’s newly formed ladies team played their first match on Saturday and what better way to mark the occasion by getting a win.

They beat Bandon at home, 24-19. Cashel’s try scorers were Elaine Devane (man of the match), AnnMarie Leamy, Wendy Fitzpatrick and Libby Toomey, Libby converted two of them. It was a first rugby match ever for half off the newly formed team. Outstanding ability was displayed during the match. We also have an impressive under 18s squad that will have their first match soon. Both teams train Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm at the rugby club, we are always open to new girls joining. Minis’ rugby Sunday at 11am. Girls’ Tag Mondays 7.30pm.
