County J’A’ F semi-final

Shannon Rovers 0-9

Rosegreen 0-9

Shannon Rovers and Rosegreen must meet again after Jack Sullivan’s injury-time point for Rovers left the scores at 0-9 each at Templetuohy last Sunday afternoon.

The equalising score came one minute into additional time from the wing-back.

Killian Ryan had Rosegreen ahead after 47 seconds but two Alan Hannigan points had Shannon Rovers in the driving seat by the eighth minute.

Trevor Downey had Rosegreen level in the 14th minute and four minutes later, midfielder, Mark Hartnett put them ahead for the secondtime. Barry Cahalan brought Rovers level before James Stack put the North side ahead as the lead changed hands once more.

Ger O’Connor restored parity and then Michael Griffin kicked a point allowing Rosegreen to take the half time lead with a one point advantage 0-5 to 0-4.

Shannon Rovers were level by the third minute when George Hannigan pointed.

Austin Tierney added another and then John Flannery increased the Rovers lead with a free in the 45th minute and James Stack made it a three point game on 47 minutes.

Michael Griffin, Killian Ryan (2) both pointed for Rosegreen to level matters yet again.

Mark Hartnett put Rosegreen on top at this late stage but they received a setback when Frank Culleton was sent off. With the extra man, Rovers favoured one last attack and Jack Sullivan prevailed.
