Vision-impaired Tipperary athlete is featured in new book

The sportspeople tell their stories of resilience, determination and grit

Annie Donnelly from Tipperary, a multi-disciplined vision-impaired athlete, is featured in a new Irish book release.

A collection of stories of blind and vision-impaired sportspeople, Out Of Sight! features lighthearted personal anecdotes collected by the author from some of Ireland’s most talented blind and vision-impaired athletes.

In the book they tell their stories of resilience, determination and grit as they champion the world of sports.

Author Joe Geraghty is a founding member of Vision Sports Ireland and has tirelessly dedicated his life after his own sporting career to supporting and uplifting his community, all culminating in this wonderful piece of writing.

Stories from participants from a range of sports are featured, including Paralympic gold medallist runner Jason Smyth; Katie-George Dunlevy, cyclist and Ireland’s most successful Paralympian; and the current World Para Swimming Champion, Róisín Ní Ríain.
