Noel Coonan TD has welcomed a new online system for Sports Capital Funding and is urging Tipperary sports organisations to visit the site and register their interest.

“My colleague Minister of Sport Michael Ring TD has informed me that his Department has developed a new website which must be used by Tipperary sport organisations to register their interest in the Sports Capital Programme (SCP), to apply for funding when the Programme is open for applications and to manage the drawdown of any new grants allocated after 2013,” said Deputy Coonan.

“The website has information on all aspects of the SCP. Registered users can ask questions and get answers about the SCP. Any Tipperary organisation wishing to make a future application must first register online at www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie. Details on the next round of Sports Capital funding are expected to be announced shortly.

The SCP prioritises the needs of disadvantaged areas in the provision of sports facilities encourage the multi-purpose use of local, regional and national sports facilities by clubs.
