Billy Noble, aged 39 from Ballybeg in Littleton, has won the Natural Bodybuilding Federation of Ireland championship final in the over-80kg class and now goes forward to represent Ireland at the UIBBN World Championships in Paris on November 16th. There Billy will be joined by the the winners of the other weight classes following the championship finals in Carrigtwohill, Cork October 5th.

Billy started weight training at the Powerhouse gym at the age of 27 and it was only in the past year when he took it really seriously with the thought of entering a bodybuilding competition lingering in his mind.

A friend who completed a personal training course with Billy sent him a link of an up-coming event which was to be the first-ever natural competition in Ireland run by the NBFI (Natural Bodybuilding Federation of Ireland).

Billy quickly became a member of the NBFI and signed up for the competition. Soon after Billy was snapped up by Optimum Nutrition as their sponsored athlete. After 18 hard weeks of training and dieting Billy was ready to hit the stage. As it was a natural show all the athletes had to be drug tested by WADA (World Anti Doping Association) to ensure a fair competition. This included a polygraph test and a urine sample. Billy is proud to say that he is clean, lean and keen and would hope to set an example to anyone starting out in weight training that it is very possible to achieve your goals without the need for enhancement drugs.

Billy currently works as a fitness instructor and personal trainer at the Duneske Center in Cahir. Billy would like to thank his parents Joan and Bill Noble, Stephen Noble, Kenny Noble, Natasha Doyle, Elaine Doyle, Niall Quinlan, Kyron Sadik (Optimum Nutrition, Team ON), Debbie Lawlor (Bluntforce Bodybuilding), Andy McBride, NBFI staff and everyone else who has supported him through his preparation.
