For Tipperary minor hurling Manager William Maher, it’s all about the here and now.
The Ballingarry man doesn’t want to hear about last year, or next year - his sole focus is on 2012; next Sunday; delivering a 19th All-Ireland minor hurling title for Tipperary.
Given his own experience of the game he loves, it’s understandable that Maher should be encouraging his charges to grasp the opportunity which will present on Sunday next. He was the one who led his men up the steps of the Hogan Stand back in 1996 to accept the Irish Press Cup for the 16th time and looked to have a brilliantly bright future ahead of him. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
