The Cahill Cup semi-finals will take place this weekend following the quarter final ties whcih were played out on Tuesday evening last.
Wins for Loughmore Castleiney over Holycross Ballycahill by a point; Thurles Sarsfields over Drom-Inch by a goal; JK Brackens over Upperchurch Drombane; and Moycarkey Borris over Boherlahan Dualla in the midweek ties have set up two semi-finals with MOycarkey Borris and Loughmore Castleiney locking horns for the third time this season in the senior hurling grade. At present it’s a win for Loughmore Castleiney and a draw - MOycarkey Borris will want to level up the score on this one.
High flying Sarsfields had a good win over Drom-Inch and they meet a JK Brackens side which has gotten their season back on track in recent weeks.
The cahill Cup commemorates Holycross Ballycahill great Phil cahill - a legend in Tipperary hurling circles in the first half of the 20th century.
The fixtures are:
Loughmore-Castleiney v Moycarkey-Borris in Castleiney Friday May 30th @ 7 30pm
JK Brackens v Thurles Sarsfields in Templemore Sunday June 1st @ 11am
