The Roscrea Regional Sports Stars Awards are to be held in Racket Hall Hotel on Friday, February 20th.
This year’s Award winners are headed by recipient Liam Spooner from Roscrea who enters the Hall of Fame.
The other recipients in the announced 2014 R.C.T.L.C. Roscrea Regional Sports Star Awards are: Athletics: Liam Brady - Coolderry, Camogie: Sarah Anne Fitzgerald - Camross, Equestrian: Jamie Carroll - Roscrea, Golf – Clodagh Jones – Roscrea Golf Club, Ladies Football: Tracey Lawlor – Mountmellick, Gaelic Football: Inane Rovers, Hurling: Patrick Maher (Bonner), Paralympics: Eoin Cleare - Shinrone, Rugby – Nenagh Ormond Senior, Soccer: Paul Kirwan - Roscrea, Tennis: Nenagh Lawn Tennis (Midland League – 1st division), Youth Award – Alan Tynan from Roscrea.
The Special Recognition Award goes to John Ormond from Clonlisk, Shinrone. Team of the Year goes to Coláiste Phobal – Senior Hurling Team. This year’s Contribution to Sports is being awarded to Brother John Dooley from Nenagh.
The Awards are being sponsored by Rosderra Meats again this year. The R.C.T.L.C. committee are most grateful to Rosderra for their ongoing commitment to the event. RCTLC are also very much indebted to local journalists who form the selection Committee.

The Sports Awards Presentation Dinner takes place as stated in the Racket Hall Hotel on Friday, February 20th at 8pm which promises to be a night full of excitement and community celebration, with music being provided on the night by Johnny Keegan.
