Well done to the Tipperary senior hurling team on defeating Galway by 2-20 to 2-18 at Semple Stadium yesterday. Tipperary have now maintained an unbeaten run against Galway in league games since 2007 but another encounter later in this league campaign cannot be ruled out.

Tipperary’s next game is against Waterford on Sunday next, March 18 at Semple Stadium. It will be the 40th league meeting between the counties with Tipp having won 30, Waterford 6 and 3 draws in the previous 39 games.

In last year’s game which was played at Semple Stadium, Tipperary won on a scoreline of 1-20 to 0-18. Only the O Riain (New) stand at Semple Stadium will be open for the game. Admission will be E13 for adults and E5 for students and OAPs with valid photographic id. Under 16s are free.
