Two of Tipperary’s top footballers have this week warned that success at adult level is not a given following a string of very impressive wins at underage, including silverware in the minor and U-21 grades.
eorge Hannigan and Hugh Coughlan have both been hammering at the cliffedge for Tipperary in a bid to make a breakthrough, but they have found the rockface to be flint-like. And, with the general concensus being that they will be stone-walled again on Sunday when they meet 2011 All-Ireland Finalists Kerry in Semple Stadium, there remains an element of positivity in the mindset which allows the players to focus on measuring themselves against the best in the business, rather than engaging in a defeatist mantra before ever a ball is kicked.
