All-Ireland Draw leaves Boards with headaches

The North senior hurling championship final between Burgess and Nenagh Éire Óg is expected to go ahead as scheduled at MacDonagh Park next Sunday, with no county representation from either club.

The North senior hurling championship final between Burgess and Nenagh Éire Óg is expected to go ahead as scheduled at MacDonagh Park next Sunday, with no county representation from either club.

But the West, Mid and South senior finals looked set to be postponed due to the involvement of players from the Tipp panel in these games.

Speaking to the Tipperary Star on Monday, county board chairman Sean Nugent said: “I don’t want to pre-empt what the CCC is going to decide in regard to fixtures but the general feeling is sympathetic towards those finals being postponed.
