Juvenile News - U.12 Hurling Action: On Monday June 11th we had three U.12 teams in championship action. The “A’ team had a five point win over Cappawhite in Cappawhite and had fine displays from Eoghan Connolly, Ryan O’Sullivan, Kevin Gayson Molloy and Feargail O’Donoghue who bagged an impressive brace of goals when introduced.
The lads also played St.Marys in a challenge game on Saturday morning as they prepare for their clash with Clonoulty in what should be another cracking game. The lads ran out comfortable winners 4-7 to 1-1, thanks to St. Marys for the game. The ‘B” team beat Aherlow on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-0 in a game that ended with a torrential downpour. Lastly our “C” team conceded three late goals and in doing so lost out to Clonoulty by 4-1 to 1-1 but the lads played well. Well done to all the teams and mentors and best of luck in the remainder of the championships.
U.10 Hurling Action: On Saturday the U.10’s made the trip to Dundrum to contest in a West Tipperary Hurling blitz. First up we faced neighbours Rosegreen and after an entertaining game we came out on top, six scores to three. Our winning streak continued as we saw off Kickams, five scores to two. Finally we faced Arravale Rovers and on the day we were far too strong for the Tipp town boys winning easily ten scores to one. All the lads did well on the day and enjoyed the outing. Panel: Ross Whelan, Padraig Brosnan, Ethan Gayson-Molloy, Eoghan Murphy, James O’Sullivan, Conor O’Dwyer, Jack McGrath, Daniel Moloney, TJ Barron, Evan Moloney & Ben White.
