County Senior Hurling
Championship Round 3
Templederry Kenyons 0-18
GOALKEEPING heroics from Kildangan’s Darragh Egan made sure his side made it through to the next round of the County Senior Hurling Championship in a close tie against Templederry Kenyons at Dolla last Sunday.
Ultimately, he was the difference between the two sides, denying Templederry Kenyons the chance of a late winner with some acrobatic saves with a couple of minutes to play in this free-flowing game.
And he delivered the coup de grace earlier with two pinpoint passes in the second half, the first off a long puc out which saw Ruairi Gleeson point and the second, minutes later, a superb delivery to an unmarked Tadgh Gallagher who pointed unchallenged.
Indeed, if there was one thing that stood out in this finely balanced match was the number of loose passes and empty spaces that players found themselves in, with neither side picking up opponents throughout the game. See this weeks Tipperary Star for full report.
