Thrilling finish to Carrick-on-Suir Wheelers Cycling Club's Bobby Power Memorial Race

More than 120 cyclists competed in the annual Bobby Power Memorial Race hosted by Panduit Carrick-on-Suir Wheelers Cycling Club on St Patrick’s Day.

The race took place in Clonea-Power and proved to be one of the most thrilling in years.

A total of 122 cyclists took part in the event. Seventeen riders were still in contention for the win with just 10km to go and there was an electrifying finale.

Con Scully of the Dan Morrissey Carlow team won the main race followed by Ruairi Byrne of UCD Cycling team.
First held in 1955, this prestigious event remains a highlight of the Irish cycling calendar, drawing top riders from across the country.

With thrilling breakaways, intense sprint finishes and a dramatic battle to the line, this year’s Bobby Power Memorial Race was one to remember.

Carrick Wheelers CC congratulates all riders for making it a spectacular day of racing.
