Tipperary’s bid to make it three Munster Intermediate hurling titles in a row failed miserably at Pairc Ui Rinn on Wednesday evening last when they came a cropper against the Rebels after a very below par performance.

From a Tipperary perspective this was a game best forgotten. Nothing went the way of the Premier County and while credit must be given to the players for continuing to battle to the very death, they will be the first to acknowledge that they were well off the pace and perhaps fortunate not to have been much further in arrears.
