Sean Curran has emerged as a doubt for Tipperary’s Munster U-21 Hurling Championship Final against Clare in Ennis next Wednesday evening.
He injured his ankle when he helped Mullinahone defeat Carrick Swans in last Sunday’s South Senior Hurling Final in Clonmel.
The injury wasn’t apparent at the time but according to Tipp manager Ken Hogan, Curran, who scored two points and won the man of the match award, “could hardly put his foot under him” on Monday morning.
Tipp will be hoping to complete a Grand Slam of Munster hurling titles, having already won the Senior, Minor and Intermediate championships, but will have their work cut out against a Clare team that’s 3/1-on favourites to win what would be only their second U-21 provincial title.
Tipp, meanwhile, will be trying to win this championship for the 21st time.
