One component any management team looks for in their charges when it comes to embarking upon a championship campaign, is experience.
Sometimes you can be lucky to have a very experienced side - even at U-18 and a half level - sometimes maybe not so lucky. Experience counts for little though if the players are not willing to learn from it, and in the current crop of hurlers from the 300 strong boys in the 570 strong student population, the management team of Tom Byrne (Lattin Cullen), Noelie Fogarty (Sarsfields) and Joe Gallagher (Kildangan) found a willing and able bunch who were prepared to take on board everything that was being thrown at them. And, absorb it.
