Munster SHC Preview

Tipp simply must go for the jugular

Tipperary and Limerick will go head-to-head in the Munster senior hurling championship in Semple Stadium on Sunday for the fifth consecutive season, with the honours even at present in terms of who has emerged with the right result, writes Noel Dundon.

Premier County folks may well speak of the great rivalry with Cork; or the very keen encounters with Clare; or perhaps the bitter sweet relationship at the other side of the county with Kilkenny. But, for those living in the Cappawhite/Newport/ Doon/ Cappamore/Galbally/ Skeheenarinky directions, the rivalry between Limerick and Tipperary is as intense as any other and bragging rights will indeed be at stake when the final whistle sounds in Sunday's semi-final.
