Mid Convention in Gortnahoe sees PRO Trevor Hassett (Drom-Inch) retain his position after a challenge from Andy Fogarty(Thurles Sarsfields)

The Chairman of the Mid Tipperary GAA Board Joe Kennedy has cautiously supported the Duffy proposals on the senior football championship, but with a caveat.
The Moyne Templetuohy man, in his annual address to Convention in Gortnahoe on Friday evening last said that the proposal from GAA Director General Paraic Duffy put before County Board recently is to be welcomed if it manages to give extra dates to the clubs for the playing of championship games.
However, he cautioned that they would have to be conscious of the fact that Munster Council may try to bring forward the dates for their championships at club level and this would have to be resisted as it would further squeeze the already crowded fixtures list.

The only contest at Convention surrounded the PRO position with Drom-Inch's Trevor Hassett staving off the challenge of Sarsfields Andy Fogarty after a vote. The position of Assistant Treasurer was not filled and will be dealt with at the Adjourned Convention in January.
