The draw has been made for the quarter-finals of the Tipperary Water County Intermediate Hurling Championship with all four contests scheduled to take place this weekend. The full quarter-final draw reads as follows: Golden-Kilfeacle v Moyne-Templetuohy or Thurles Sarsfelds, Drom & Inch v Shannon Rovers, Moneygall v Borrisokane or Ballybacon-Grange and Cashel King Cormacs v Ballinahinch.
On Saturday, September 15th Cashel King Cormacs and Ballinahinch meet in their respective quarter-final at Holycross (2.15pm) while three more games take place on Sunday, September 16th - Moneygall will face Borrisokane or Ballybacon-Grange in Boherlahan or Portroe, Drom & Inch take on Shannon Rovers in Roscrea (12 noon) and Golden-Kilfeacle face Moyne-Templetuohy or Thurles Sarsfields in Boherlahan (12 noon).
Last weekend Ballinahinch and Shannon Rovers enjoyed narrow wins in the preliminary quarter-finals - Ballinahinch saw off the challenge of West champions Seán Treacy’s (2-16 to 0-21) while Shannon Rovers accounted for Gortnahoe-Glengoole (0-16 to 1-11).
The remaining preliminary quarter-finals will take place on Wednesday, September 12th - Moyne-Templetuohy v Thurles Sarsfields in Borrisoleigh (8pm) and Ballybacon-Grange v Borrisokane in Clonoulty (8pm).
The semi-finals of the competition are scheduled to take place on the week-ending September 30th and the final on the week-ending October 14th.
