Three Tipperary players have been named on the Electric Ireland ‘Minor Star Awards Hurling Team of the Year’ - Conor Whelan (Mullinahone), Seán Phelan (Nenagh Éire Óg) and James Devaney (Borris-Ileigh) feature on the prestigious selection.
The minor hurling team of the year will be recognized at the second annual Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Awards in Croke Park, Dublin on September 29th.
The full Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Hurling Team of the Year reads as follows: Patrick Rabbitte (Galway), Conor Whelan (Mullinahone, Tipperary), Shane Jennings (Galway), Jamie Young (Kilkenny), Darragh Maher (Kilkenny), Seán Neary (Galway), Seán Phelan (Nenagh Éire Óg, Tipperary), Conor Kelly (Kilkenny), Donal Leavy (Dublin), James Devaney (Borris-Ileigh, Tipperary), Cathal O’Neill (Limerick), Ciarán Brennan (Kilkenny), Luke Swan (Dublin), Donal O’Shea (Galway) & Dean Reilly (Galway).
Incidentally, Galway award winner Donal O’Shea is the son of former Tipperary manager, coach and player Eamonn O’Shea (Kilruane MacDonagh’s).
