Weekend Preview: JK Bracken's face Cahir in county minor A football championship final

JK Bracken's are preparing this week to face Cahir in the final of the Tipperary Water County Minor A Football Championship on September 29th at New Inn (3.30pm).

In the semi-finals JK Bracken's accounted for Inane Rovers (2-10 to 1-8) while Cahir saw off the challenge of Galtee-Golden (2-12 to 1-12). The minor B semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 6th - Knockavilla Kickhams v Mullinahone and Ballina v Drom & Inch.


On Friday last Loughmore-Castleiney beat Arravale Rovers (1-12 to 0-8) while Moyle Rovers proved too strong for Killenaule (3-13 to 1-9). The remaining last eight clashes take place on Sunday, September 30th - Ballyporeen face Ardfinnan in Cahir (2.30pm) while Clonmel Commercials take on Kilsheelan-Kilcash in Monroe (2.30pm).


Grangemockler-Ballyneale enjoyed a walkover win over Clonoulty-Rossmore last weekend while Borrisokane progressed to the semi-finals thanks to a 2-9 to 0-12 victory over Clonmel Commercials.

Following a three-way play-off in group two the Loughmore-Castleiney men missed out while Moyne-Templetouhy and Moyle Rovers progressed. So, Golden-Kilfeacle will collide with Moyle Rovers at New Inn (5.30pm) on Saturday, September 29th in one quarter-final while on Saturday, October 6th Rockwell Rovers face Moyne-Templetuohy in Holycross (2.30pm).

The semi-final draw has also been made for the intermediate football championship - on the week-ending Sunday, October 7th Borrisokane will face the winners of the meeting between Golden Kilfeacle and Moyle Rovers while on the week-ending Sunday, October 14th Grangemockler-Ballyneale will take on the winners of the match between Moyne-Templetuohy and Rockwell Rovers.
