Tipperary inter-county hurling star Jason Forde.
Tipperary's William Maher and Kilkenny's Conor Phelan will manage the Irish team for the annual international hurling-shinty clash with Scotland at Iverness on Saturday, October 20th - hurlers from thirteen different counties have been selected on the squad which includes Silvermines' Jason Forde.
In 2017 Scotland beat Ireland by three points so Ireland will be hoping to avenge that result at the home of shinty in Bught Park (2pm).
The Ireland squad reads as follows: Enda Rowland (Laois), Brian Byrne (Kildare), Damian Casey (Tyrone), John Casey (Longford), Darragh Clinton (Westmeath), Noel Connors (Waterford), Danny Cullen (Donegal), Tommy Doyle (Westmeath), Darragh Egerton (Westmeath), David English (Carlow, captain), Jason Forde (Silvermines, Tipperary), Damien Healy (Meath), Gerard O’Kelly Lynch (Sligo), Gavin McGowan (Meath), Dave McInerney (Clare), Bryan Murphy (Kerry), John Michael Nolan (Carlow), Stephen Roche (Waterford), James Toher (Meath) and Sean Weir (Kerry).
