Late Nora d’Estelle Roe, Templemore
The death has occurred of Nora d’Estelle Roe (nee Carr) Main Street Templemore.
A native of Roskeen, Drombane Thurles, Nora was born on March 26th 1931, the 2nd youngest of a family of five. Her sister Breda is the last remaining of the family.
She was predeceased by her husband Brook who passed away in September 2000.
Nora was a part-time caterer, having opened a café called ‘The Minstrel Café’ in Main Street some years ago. She also managed the canteen in Templemore Co-Op Mart for many years.
Her hobbies/pastimes included singing with the Church Choir, playing golf, and horse racing on RTE. She was also a keen GAA enthusiast.
Nora’s health deteriorated in the last three months and she died peacefully in University Hospital Limerick on August 31st with her loving sister by her side.
Sincere sympathy is extended to her two sons George and Brooklyn, sister Breda, grandchildren Jamie and Megan, relatives and many friends.
Nora’s remains reposed in the Convent Chapel followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church Templemore. Following Requiem Mass Nora was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
