Karen Kennedy has been at the heart of Tipperary Camogie for the past few years producing top quality performances and now shehas been voted as the winner of the PWC Camogie player of the month for April.
Tipperary edged a titanic league final last month over over Galway at Croke Park coming out on top by just one point. The Thurles Sarsfield player scored the key goal and captained the team to victory.
Other award winners included Shane O'Donnell of Clare for his hurling performances, Donegal half back Ryan McHugh for football heroics and Armagh footballer Lauren McConnville.
Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Jarlath Burns said; “We had some fantastic games over the course of the month of April with superb individual performances – none more so than those produced by Lauren, Karen, Shane and Ryan.
“Lauren and Karen were both hugely influential in Armagh and Tipperary’s league successes in football and camogie respectively, and similarly Shane and Ryan shone in the excellent form shown by Clare and Donegal in their hurling and football outings.
“I wish them all well in their endeavours in the weeks – and possibly months – ahead and thank PwC and the GPA for their support of these important awards.”
