Very popular “Tipperary People and Places” lectures returns to  The Source Library

The Source Library Thurles

The eagerly awaited Tipperary People and Places Lecture Series returns to The Source Library, Thurles on Tuesday October 16th at 7.30pm. A fascinating range of subjects ensures there is something for everybody to enjoy. The role of Army chaplains of WW1, including Rev Edmond Kelly, Tipperary native, who was awarded the military cross for his gallant efforts is discussed by Barbara McCormack in October.
The series continues on the third Tuesday of each month.
Other topics to look forward to in the coming months are National Plebiscite in the General Election Campaign 1917- 1918; The Death Census of 1847; Sologheadbeg Ambush: A Centenary Perspective; Contrasting Experiences in the Towns of Cashel, Clonmel and Fethard 1606 -1660 and Childhood and Youth in Ireland from 1740.
