Tipperary Town is chosen for a pilot programme to increase physical activity

The programme at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre is proving a success

There has been an amazing start to 'ICOACHGIRLS play centre' 10 week programme at the Canon Hayes Recreation Centre in Tipperary town.

Tipperary Sports Partnership pointed out this week that they were delighted Tipperary Town is chosen as one of the six pilots for this programme in Ireland.

This programme aims to promote and increase physical activity and sport amongst primary school girls in their local community and aimed at girls that have never taken part in organised sport or that have tried and dropped out.

On completion of the programme it is hoped that the girls will have discovered an activity/sport that they enjoy to support their continuous involvement. More details are here: https://www.tipperarycoco.ie/
