A popular Tipperary supermarket is change its car park policy and is bringing in clamping from next Tuesday, March 18.
In a statement on social media, Bennetts Supervalu in Tipperary Town, said: "We want to ensure that parking spaces in our car parks are available for everyone who visits our store and post office.

"To maintain fairness and convenience, we are introducing a new parking policy.
"Effective from next Tuesday the 18th of March, cars parked for longer than two hours in our designated parking area will be clamped."

The Kickham Place supermarket added: "Cars parked in the accessible parking spaces who fail to display a valid disabled persons parking permit will also be clamped.
"This policy is being put in place to help provide parking for all customers and improve the shopping experience for everyone.

"Here's a quick summary of the new policy:
* 2-hour limit for parking
* Clamping for any vehicle that exceeds the 2-hour limit
* Clamping fee (€60) will apply to release the vehicle
